Marianna's Spinach & Cheese Pie (Spanakopita) 1kg
Marianna's Pies are produced in a women's co-operative in Halkidiki, northern Greece, using hand-made filo pastry. They are made daily and filled with fresh, local ingredients following traditional recipes.
This classic Spinach & Cheese Pie (Spanakopita or Spanakotiropita) is filled with a combination of three cheeses and steamed, drained spinach. It can be served hot or cold, makes a delicious buffet centrepiece and is the ultimate packed lunch treat.

Please note the pies are frozen and although we send them out in insulated packaging they will most likely arrive defrosted, in which case they should be stored in the fridge and eaten within 3 days.

Cooking instructions: Remove the tray from its packaging and put straight onto a low shelf in your oven, without pre-heating, and set to 220oC until it begins to rise (about 15mins). Take it out, cut into pieces and return to the oven at 180oC until golden brown (about 45 mins). Ensure it is cooked through before eating.
