Sundried Kimi Figs PDO
Recognised with PDO status since 1993, Kimi figs are grown on the island of Evia in central Greece. Shaped by the area’s sea breeze and limestone soils, they are known for their fine skin, soft texture, and natural sweetness.
Picked at full ripeness, the figs are halved, laid out to dry under the Aegean sun, and paired by hand into the traditional figure-of-eight askada.
Apart from their delicious flavour, Kimi figs are naturally rich in fibre, potassium, calcium, and magnesium, with antioxidant levels comparable to grapes. They are eaten simply as they are, matched with cheeses such as Graviera, Manouri, or Feta PDO, or folded into baking, and preserves.

Kumilio, Kimi, Central Greece
The Lambrou family founded Kumilio in 2015 to showcase the figs of their homeland, Kimi in Evia. From their village of Kadi they tend more than a thousand trees and run a small unit for sorting and processing, keeping production close to the groves.
Kimi figs have been part of Greek diets for millennia, prized for their natural sweetness and nutritional value. The Lambrous continue this tradition with care and still use the handmade methods passed down through generations to produce their dried figs, while also experimenting with new ideas such as chocolate-dipped figs with nuts.
