Maltby&Greek opened in 2012 as part of Maltby Street Market in Bermondsey, with the aim of bringing the best of home to the UK. Today, we are proud to be part of Spa Terminus, a group of like-minded food and drinks production and distribution businesses. From here, our ever-expanding range of regional and seasonal Greek produce is available in both wholesale and retail and is distributed across the entire UK.
We have built strong relationships with our producers, based in trust and respect and this is what underpins all that we do. We focus on small, often family-run businesses where things are made with passion, care and skill. All of our producers work sustainably and aim to maintain traditional techniques, while adapting to a changing world. Following years of long travels across the Greek mainland and islands, and the extensive network we have established, we carry a wide range of products, representing the best that Greece has to offer. Athenians joke that we sell things you can't even source in the Greek capital. Many of our products are used and endorsed by world-renowned chefs including Ferran Adrià of El Bulli, Georgianna Hiliadaki and Nikos Roussos of Funky Gourmet, Christoforos Peskias, Jose Andres of ThinkFoodGroup (TFG), Diane Kochilas (the ‘Greek Food Guru,’) Lefteris Lazarou, and many more.
Our aim is not only to bring our local expertise of Greek premium products to a wider audience, but also to educate our customers on the health benefits of a Greek diet.
We pride ourselves on sourcing products that are unique and fresh; grown, reared, and produced in accordance with Greek tradition. Local knowledge and expertise, combined with an international outlook and attention to detail, define who we are. Traceability, quality, and flavours are of the utmost importance to us.
