The traditional Greek Easter bread, Tsoureki is a sweet, brioche-like loaf, which is uniquely flavoured with Mastika Crystals, the resin of the mastic tree, and an aromatic spice made from the seeds of the Mahleb cherry. Often compared to Jewish Challah bread or Eastern European Babka loaves, it's the mastic that gives this bread a unique woody, earthy and vanilla aroma.
