Tsantali 'Kanenas' Mavroudi-Syrah

A family enterprise dating back to 1890, based around Mount Athos and Naoussa in northern Greece. Organic methods. Gorgeous round smoky briar fruit bouquet. What a lovely plump, ripe yet squeaky clean blue and red fruit melange of seductive fruit flavour. While this is a big mouthful, it's so easy to enjoy with the lovely zippy acidity, that you'll be left wanting to drink lots more. Tailor made for hearty stews and plenty of garlic. YUM!

The Tsantali family has been cultivating vineyards, making wine, and distilling ouzo and tsipouro since 1890. Evangelos Tsantalis, a second-generation winemaker, rejuvenated some of the most exquisite vineyards in northern Greece and today, the family’s traditions are continued with production of PDO and varietal wines from indigenous grapes in some of the best terroirs of northern Greece.
