Robola Co-op 'Truth' Organic Robola of Cephalonia
Robola along with Assyrtiko, are the Greek alternatives to Muscadet and Chablis in France, and Soave and Gavi in Italy. Truth is organically produced from grapes grown at around 500 metres above sea level. This results in superb racy freshness, crisp acidity and a superb finish. Amazing, stone, mineral, clean, dry. Really good background structure that lets the wine expand but it stays tight on the palate. Greek Island whites combine gorgeous minerality with racy freshness and comparatively low acidity. To be compared to top unoaked, Northern European whites.
