Nineli's puff pastry is traditionally used in savoury cheese pies, as well as other sweet and savoury dishes. Made with aromatic butter or, in this case, margerine which has been repeatedly and meticulously folded back into its fine dough to create many layers, the pastry sheets will inflate when baked giving them their signature enticing puffed result. Greek puff pastry is called Sfoliata, σφολιατα, meaning sheets.
