Dikotylon chickpeas are cultivated in the high-altitude mountain valley of Feneos, which is famous for the quality of its pulses. These are medium sized chickpeas, suitable for use both whole in soups and stews, as well as for hummus.
Typical of the mediterranean diet and nutritionally very rich, particularly in protein, iron, phosphorus, magnesium and zinc. They also contain calcium potasium, B vitamins and vitamin K and have a low GI index, whilst being high in fibre.
