Karagelis, Kalamata, Peloponnese
Karagelis Lab is based in Messinia, in the Peloponnese, and focuses on analysing varieties of grape and must for the winery industry. The founder, Giorgos Karagelis, began as a chemist with a keen interest in winemaking and opened the lab in 1995. Not content with just providing analysese, he began producing goods inspired by grapes. The result is the perfect organic grape syrup, which is made in a state-of-the-art facility, using no heat in the process in order to maintain the highest levels of nutrients and the natural flavour of the grapes.
