Organic Beef Meatballs (Keftedakia) 650g
These organic veal keftedakia or kofte (meatballs) are produced from free-range calves who roam the craggy limestone mountains of northern Epirus, where Greece meets Albania. They are flavoured with lots of local wild herbs, a touch of paprika, Graviera cheese and use oats instead of bread for lightness. They can be grilled, barbecued or fried, and are delicious cooked in tomato sauce. Farma Makri is located in the far north-west of Greece, in a remote, mountainous and untouched region where organic farming has been the only way for thousands of years.

Makris Farm is in the village of Oreino, on the mountains of Epirus, where cattle grow in their natural environment. The farm occupies ten acres of land and is faithful to centuries of tradition and respecting the land. All cattle are born on their farm so they can control the genetic characteristics, health and development of their cattle. They believe everyone has the right to know the production process, the origin, the location, and the way cattle are breed.
