Domaine Skouras Grande Cuvée Nemea PDO Agiorgitiko
Domaine Skouras, Nemea, Peloponnese
Domaine Skouras is in a region of Nemea and the Argolida highlands and is blessed with viti-vinicultural land. It is an ultra-modern winemaking facility, with elegant Greek architecture that has been designed to ensure the highest standard of wine production and bottling. George Skouras started his wine-making career in his father’s garage in Argos, and his only aspiration was to make high quality wine production. Domaine Skouras grew from having no land, no gear, rental wine equipment and manual bottling to owning vineyards in Argolida, in the Corinthia region, and in Nemea. Domaine Skouras currently cultivates varieties grown across these regions, which are Roditis, Alepou, and Moscofilero (all pink-skinned grape varieties, but usually used in white wine production), as well as reds like Agiorgitiko and Mavrostifo of Argos. They also cultivate cosmopolitan varieties such as Chardonnay, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Merlot.
