Oeno Π 'Tria Ampelia' Santorini Assyrtiko

The grapes come from 3 vineyards, over 60 years old, in Fira, Akrotiri and Megalochori. The wine ferments and matures in clay amphorae for 16 months, then left on the fine lees. There is no oak involved. The Oeno Π Assyrtiko has a distinct yellow colour and impressive aromas of flint, lemon, petrol, smoke, ripe peach, crumbled bread citrus and honeysuckle. In the mouth, it’s full bodied with great acidity. Ripe citrus mingles with notes of peach, white flowers, sourdough, smoke, wet stone and honeycomb. This has to be the most complex and texturally ambitious white wine ever seen from Greece! Absolutely delicious.

Oeno Π, Santorini, Aegean Islands

OENO Π was founded by Paris Sigalas in the old wine cave (canava) of his family. It is located right by the sea, in the area of the Kolumbo volcano, in Baxedes-Oia. The focus of Paris and the winery is on a small production (up to 20,000 bottles per year) of very high-quality wines, with each vineyard being vinified in separate amphora. A pioneer of modern Santorini winemaking, Paris continues to push the boundary of what is possible by producing landmark Santorini wines.
