Kourabie Bites
The traditional Greek Christmas cookie, Kourabie is an almond butter shortbread biscuit dusted with icing sugar. Also known as Kourabiedes (kourambiethes), these small festive biscuits are packed with the aromas of roasted almonds and butter. Also seen as a good luck offering, these delicious treats are also often served at many Greek weddings. Each region makes their biscuit unique, for example by adding rose water or cloves.
